The Fetzer family was among California's wine pioneers in the 1960s and '70s, but when the family sold the wine brand in the early 1990s, a non-compete kept them out of the business for nearly a decade. It's home to a single winery, Masút, which is Pomo Indian for "dark, rich earth." Jake and Ben Fetzer founded the winery as a tribute to their father, who first planted the region to Pinot Noir.
