MASUT REVIEWS AND ACCOLADES

90 Points - 2006 Deloach “Masut Vineyard” Pinot Noir
The vineyard has championed Pinot Noir in this unlikely location in inland Mendocino County, and now De Loach successfully takes up the cause. Their ’06 is gently soft, silky and dry, with deep flavors of cherries, currants, raspberries and chocolate, finished with a fine layer of oaky vanilla. S.H. (8/1/2008)

Tied for most #1 picks in blind tasting - Masut Organic Grass Fed Beef
This burger won four top picks by virtue of its “creamy texture” and its flavor, described as “beefy, without being too heavy,” “sweet and balanced” with a “perfect texture” and clean finish. January

Best Pinot Noirs - 2003 Masut Pinot Noir
Deep, long flavors - plum, cranberry, and berry fruit with vanilla and exotic spices. This would pair well with a gamut of rich cheeses, duck, or a lamb tagine. October 2005

90 Points - 2003 Masut Block 7 Pinot Noir
Masut is making a surprisingly strong case for warm-climate Pinot, as evidenced by this very good wine. No problems getting the fruit ripe in cherries and blackberries, and the balance of alcohol, tannins, acids and oak is fine. A winery to watch. — S.H. (10/1/2005)
